BBR family comes home

2011 Global BBR Conference held in Switzerland

The 2011 Global BBR Conference saw 80 delegates converging on Lucerne from many points around the world.
The event started with the now famous BBR Charity Golf event, followed in the evening by a ‘flying dinner’ and the BBR Awards ceremony on board the 100-year old paddle steamer ‘Schiller’ as it sailed around Lake Lucerne.
During the following two days, a wide range of internal and external presentations were made, including one from Dr Luis Cancio on PT bridge design with BBR Technology. Presentations were also made by BBR Network Members so that they could share best practice from recent projects with their international colleagues. As always, the main focus of the event was to show everyone all the latest technology and tools available today to the BBR Network.
The whole event culminated in a fantastic Gala Dinner and concert by ‘Muse de Piano’ featuring four pianists – in one of the Hotel Schweizerhof’s most famous and traditional rooms.
